Another name for this place is “Kashmir,” which means “heaven on earth.”. This place is really a heaven for nature lovers and also for thrill and bikers. You can visit here any time except for the monsoon period.

This place is always on highlight due to the dispute on the India-Pakistan Border, and for its beauty.

It is a perfect place to spend your vacation with your family, friends, or loved ones.

Many of you may think of spending this vacation in Kashmir. After getting some relaxation from the COVID situation you may think of spending some quality time with your family, friend, or your loved ones here. But before planning any trip to Kashmir you should maintain and follow some COVID norms and regulations.

But to go there you have to get full knowledge about the visiting places, foods, and most importantly shelter.

Day 1:

From Delhi take the flight at 9:15 am and you will reach Srinagar airport at 10:45 am. Take a cab and check in to your hotel.  Take rest and be fresh and get ready to go to Shikara Ride at Dal Lake, but the ride is only available for the guests staying in the houseboats.

Day 2 :

Then on the next day book a cab and move to Gulmarg from Srinagar. There are a number of hotels and resorts to choose from. One of them is Pine Palace Resort. After taking some rest and refreshment, move out for the cable car thrill experience. Take one ticket for Phase 1 of Gulmarg Gondola, which is a high-altitude cable car managed by the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Return back to your hotel.  Take your dinner, spend the night, and take a beautiful deep sleep for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3:

Wake up early, get refreshed, and complete your breakfast. Book a cab and move to Pahalgam. Then you can either move to your booked place and then again come for sightseeing or you can do sightseeing and then go to your hotel or resort. One of the best hotels is Hotel Sparrow. There you can do sightseeing in Avantipur ruins, which will take a maximum of 1 hour. Then take your lunch and again continue your sightseeing or you can go to your shelter. On that day there is nothing much to do. So you can take a rest or go for local sightseeing.

Day 4:

On the fourth day of your journey, book a cab and go for a tour to Aru valley, Betab Valley, and Chandanwari from Pahalgam. This will take almost half of your day.

Day 5 :

Again change your place, again move to Srinagar from Pahalgam. In Srinagar, there are many places for sightseeing like Cheshma Shahi, Nishant Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Shankaracharya Temple. This sightseeing will take around 4 hours. Near Dal Lake, you will find many hotels and resorts to stay in. One of the best hotels is Sahara Grand Hills. 

Day 6:

Wake up early and complete your breakfast and get ready for the adventure. On the sixth day of your trip, you must move for the sightseeing of Sonmarg which will take around 8 hours of the day. There you can see green meadows, hills, and horses. Not only you will see horses but also if you want to ride, you can. And if you are a photographer and love to take photos of nature then you are in the best place. Hold your camera handy and you can take marvelous pictures of nature and the surrounding. You can also see the Indus river flowing beside it. Don’t forget to go for a short trip to Thajiwas Glacier. It is at a height of 9,186 feet above sea level. If you are a spiritual person then you can also go and visit Kheer Bhawani temple which is situated in the middle of the natural spring. If you want to take the panoramic view of the frozen Satsar and baltan lake then you must visit Gadsar lake.

Day 7:

On day seven which is the departure day, book a cab to Srinagar airport. At 7 PM there is a flight to Delhi. You can catch that flight if you want to. 

This whole round trip will cost you around Rs.43,000 per person approximately if you travel by yourself. But if you book your tour through any agency or travel and tour company then you may get some offers and the price may also come down.

If you want the trip as your most unforgettable and best trip then you must include these activities :

1. Trekking

Trekking along the Great Himalayas and on the deadly routes is one of the best thrilling moments in your trip. It is one of the most exciting and adventurous activities for a traveler who loves the thrill and loves to explore new things. For a wanderer it is a wonderful place where you can see colorful meadows and water streams, also you can observe that it is fully surrounded by the Great Himalaya. To get exquisite and exclusive things and views you must go and trek in Jammu and Kashmir, as trekking here is more challenging and exciting. Don’t miss out on trekking to Chadar, the toughest trek in India.

2. Shikara Ride

Your trip would be incomplete if you don’t take a ride in Shikara on Dal Lake and Nagin Lake. The most beautiful and satisfying moment for every tourist is when you witness the beauty of nature, the Kashmiri lifestyle, floating markets, and a variety of flowers.

3. Camping

If you want more thrill then you must try camping outside rather than staying in the luxurious hotels or resorts. A number of travelers and tourists do camping during trekking the Kashmir Valleys. Camping places are Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, Aru Valley, Manasbal Lake, and Chandanwari. Here you can feel very close to nature.

4. Snowboarding and Skiing

Kashmir takes rebirth during winters. We can see the real beauty of Kashmir, only in winters. During this time we can see snow-capped mountains, snow carpeted meadows and trees, and many more things. Everything looks amazing which is so soothing to our eyes. In Gulbarga, Sonmarg and Pahalgam not only you can experience the beauty of nature but also feel it by doing Snowboarding and skiing.

5. Horse Riding

In Srinagar, the winter capital of Kashmir, you can do horse riding. Blessed with multiple blissful and beautiful tourist places, Jammu and Kashmir offer a lot of things to do and enjoy the vacation in the most beautiful manner. You can do horse riding in Srinagar, Pahalgam, Yusmarg, and Kokernag. These places offer a lot of unique experiences of exploring the great valley through horse riding.
